Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position located in a healthcare facility offering a diverse range of surgical services. The OR Nurse will be responsible for circulating and scrub duties in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting multiple service lines including trauma, neurology, orthopedics, robotics, gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and general surgery. The role involves working nights with a schedule of 10-hour shifts, and the candidate must be prepared to float across multiple campuses.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current operating room experience in a hospital or medical center setting; circulating and scrub experience highly preferred; experienced in cases such as general, Da Vinci robotic surgeries, pediatrics, trauma, neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ears, nose, and throat, vascular. Candidate must possess an active Iowa or multi-state nursing licensure at the time of submission; BLS certification from AHA or ARC within the last 3 years; must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 15 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience highly preferred; trauma Level II experience required; experience with EPIC electronic medical record system within the last 3 years; previous operating room nurse experience specific to the outlined disciplines.
• Additional Information: Traveler will be required to float across all campuses, including Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran, and others. The role includes working 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. Scrub or circulate duties are both preferred. Orientation dates are scheduled for 09/21, 09/28, 10/05, 10/12, and 10/19.
