Lead Host

Taproom Host, Alternate Ending Beer Co.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they enter restaurant and show them to their tables
• Answer phones; take and confirm reservations
• Support other FOH staff as needed
• Maintain and neat and organized host stand, ensuring merchandise is fully stocked and displayed neatly. Assist guest with merch purchases.
• Assist with Doordash and to-go pickups
• Serve as an information hub for guests on any information related to the brewery (up-coming events, where they can learn more about the beer, menus, etc)
• Provide a warm and welcoming environment for all who enter the space

Qualifications:

• Flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays)
• Knowledge of menu items, including beers, wines, and food
• Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer skills
• Knowledge of craft beer styles a plus!
• Certificates/Licenses: Cicerone Level 1 certification recommended
• Able to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times
• Exhibits an excellent service attitude and be willing to go out of their way to accommodate the guests and exceed their expectations
• Shows enthusiasm for the job and for Alternate Ending
• Is considerate, patient and willing to help out fellow employees
• Is courteous, has a friendly personality and professional appearance.
• Exhibits strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Is observant and thorough, responsible and punctual.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 25-50lbs
• Frequently stands, walks, talks and hears; uses hands, reaches with hands and arms; occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
• Noise level is moderate
