ICU Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Methodist Hospital, part of SA Health and a leading healthcare provider in San Antonio, is seeking an experienced ICU Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit while providing clinical leadership and support to bedside staff. You will serve as a clinical resource, guiding nurses in complex assessments, interventions, and patient care planning, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The ICU Clinical Nurse Coordinator will collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes. You will help organize daily workflow, support staffing and patient assignments, assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, and contribute to performance improvement and quality initiatives within the unit. This position requires strong critical thinking, excellent communication, and the ability to mentor and precept nurses and support staff while fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning.
