Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse, L&D Specialty, located in the Midwest region. This role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods in a Level 2 maternal/neonatal center. The position requires working night shifts, with a focus on delivering high-quality maternity and neonatal care.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multistate license; 24 months of current labor and delivery experience; ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and electronic fetal monitoring certificates; medication administration experience with glucose, magnesium, pitocin, insulin; minimum 24 months of relevant experience; work history/resume must demonstrate this experience.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: NICU experience, postpartum experience, nursery/Mother-Baby experience, intermediate or advanced EFM certification, and a professional reference within 24 months.
• Additional Information: The role involves staffing in a maternity and neonatal unit with patient ratios of 1:1 for labor and 1:2 for postpartum, with approximately 50-60 births per month. Candidates must be available to work 1-2 of the upcoming Winter holidays, and orientation is scheduled for 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16.
