Job Title Registered Sonographer- Cardiology (NRV) - days Location & Schedule Employment Status: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Facility: 2900 Lamb Cir - Christiansburg CP02 Carilion Medical Center Requisition Number: R157346 Hours: Monday‑Friday 5 8‑hour shifts (07:30‑16:00) or 4 10‑hour shifts (06:30‑17:00); flexible schedule; call requirements including 1 weekend per month and 1 day per week About the Role As a Registered Sonographer on our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a setting deeply committed to your personal well‑being and professional development within a setting renowned for clinical excellence. Responsibilities Transthoracic echocardiograms (adults and pediatrics) Transesophageal echocardiograms Contrast and agitated saline studies Stress echocardiograms Take part in the training of students and staff as assigned Create a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of an approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training. Experience: Experienced sonographer with hospital‑based experience preferred; new registered graduates encouraged to apply. Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Registered Cardiac Sonographer – ARDMS/CCI in adult echo (or equivalent); BLS required. Additional Certification: CPR certification required. Technical skills and interpersonal flexibility in assignments.
