Service Desk / Desktop Packaging Engineer

Position : Service Desk / Desktop Packaging Engineer
Location : Plano, TX, LA, TN (Onsite)
Term : Full time with client
Job Summary:
-
5 years of experience in desktop engineering, desktop application packaging, or application deployment support
-
2+ years of experience managing application deployments across enterprise environments
-
Hands on experience with application packaging technologies including MSI, MSIX, and App V
-
Strong PowerShell scripting experience for automation, packaging, installation logic, validation, deployment, and troubleshooting
-
Experience with deployment and endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, InstallShield, or similar enterprise management platforms
-
Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain application packages across enterprise desktop environments
-
Solid understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, including registry, file systems, permissions, services, Group Policy, and endpoint configuration
-
Experience supporting large scale software deployments in a controlled enterprise environment
-
Familiarity with change management, release processes, documentation, and production support standards
-
Understanding of security requirements, vulnerability remediation, patching, and compliance expectations in financial services environments

Experience working with AWS heavy or cloud integrated environments is preferred, especially where desktop tools connect to cloud hosted infrastructure

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams

Comfortable documenting packaging standards, deployment instructions, known issues, testing results, and rollback procedures
Desired Skillset:

Relevant Microsoft, endpoint management, Windows administration, or cloud certifications are preferred
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
