Introduction
Our client is a well-established, full-service feline-only veterinary hospital seeking a Veterinarian to join its growing team. The practice is dedicated exclusively to the care of cats and provides comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, diagnostic, and preventative services within a welcoming environment designed around the needs and comfort of feline patients. The hospital is looking for a veterinarian with a strong interest in feline medicine who is committed to individualized patient care, strong client relationships, and working collaboratively with the wider team.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinarian will provide comprehensive feline veterinary care across a varied caseload, including wellness examinations, vaccinations, preventative care, dentistry, diagnostics, medical case management, and surgery. The hospital also provides feline-specific services including acupuncture, behavioural consultations, laser therapy, diagnostic imaging, and specialized feline medicine. Surgical services range from routine spays and neuters to more specialized procedures, while dental care includes cleanings, dental radiography, and extractions. The incoming veterinarian should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable building relationships with clients while providing individualized care for their cats.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The modern, feline-only facility is equipped with an in-house diagnostic laboratory, on-site radiography, ultrasonography, dental radiography, and laser therapy equipment to support comprehensive medical care. Services include feline wellness examinations and vaccinations, preventative medicine, dentistry, surgery, radiography and ultrasonography, in-house diagnostics, acupuncture, behavioural consultations, flea and parasite control, laser therapy, feline-specific medicine, boarding, and grooming. The practice is focused on creating a stress-free and welcoming environment for cats and their owners while providing care specifically tailored to the medical and behavioural needs of feline patients.
Team
The hospital has five DVMs alongside a dedicated support team. The practice places a strong emphasis on teamwork and provides a collaborative and supportive working environment, with opportunities for continued professional growth and education.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
