Overview

A major health system in New York City is seeking a skilled Travel Cardiac Device Technician for a 13‑week assignment beginning July 6. This role is ideal for a clinician with strong experience in pacemaker and ICD interrogation/programming, cardiac device operations, and electrophysiology support.

Requirements

• 2 years of healthcare experience
• Pacemaker & ICD interrogation and programming experience (required)
• Background in cardiac device technology, EP, cardiology, or MRI operations
• HS Diploma/GED (required)
• Completion of an accredited cardiac electrophysiology technology program or equivalent education/experience (preferred)
• Experience in cardiology or electrophysiology (preferred)
• Proficiency with EMR documentation & charge entry (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pacemaker and ICD interrogations, programming, and device checks
• Support electrophysiology and cardiology teams with device‑related workflows
• Document all device evaluations and patient interactions in the EMR
• Assist with patient education regarding device function and follow‑up
• Collaborate with cardiologists, EP physicians, and nursing staff
• Maintain device clinic workflow, scheduling, and charge entry
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and device‑specific protocols
