Travel Nurse RN - Ambulatory Surgery - $2,230 per week

Clinical Interview Unit
UNIT: Surgery: General

Required Certs: BLS

Required Experience: 1 year of hospital and clinic experience is acceptable. Will not accept a traveler with just Rehab/SNF/LTC experience. Wound packing/wound management for post-op patients, suture removal, phone triage for symptoms, complex pre-op and post-op education, rooming patients, order entry, other clinic duties

Unit Information:
Patient Types: Mostly adults, very few peds and they would be older peds patients. Patients seen to schedule surgeries and follow-up after surgery, endoscopy, lipomas, gallbladders, many different general surgeries.
A few in-office procedures – cyst removals, wound packing, biopsies, I&D. RN will set up/take down and assist as needed with these.
Patients seen per day: Upwards of 30-35. Some days there are no scheduled patients if the physician is in surgery. If that's the case, traveler will still put in orders, see wound packing patients, etc.

EMR: Epic required. Ambulatory EPIC is used here, but just general EPIC experience is ok.

Scrub Color: Any solid color
