C12 or C14 Spray Painter

Avail Staffing is seeking AAMP Certified Spray Painter/BlasterTechnicians (C12 or C14) to join our dynamic team. As a AAMP Certified Sprayer/BlasterTechnician, your role will include:

Responsibilities & Requirements:

-Proficient in mixing and applying epoxy and enamel paintsaccording to specifications
-Ability to read and interpret job specifications to ensure proper completionof tasks
-Capable of completing assigned tasks within specified timeframes withouton-site supervision
-Understanding of paint induction times and familiarity with spray painting orgas-free pumping procedures
-Knowledge of the differences between critical and non-critical coating systems
-Familiarity with marine-grade paints, including the interpretation of safetydata sheets (SDS) and NAVSEA 718 product data sheets
-Must hold SSPC certification in preservation (C12 or C14)
-Comprehensive understanding of surface preparation standards, includingSSPC-SP-1, SP-2, SP-3, SP-5, SP-6, SP-10, SP-11, and SP-12
-Skilled in operating power tools commonly used for surface preparation andpaint removal
-Knowledge of NAVSEA 009-32 standard item requirements
-Familiarity with power tool cleaning techniques
-Capable of performing work in confined spaces while adhering to safetyprotocols
-Minimum of two (2) years of shipboard experience in a similar role withJourneyman-Level Proficiency

Required Certifications/Qualifications:

-OSHA-10 Maritime Training
-C-12 Airless Spray/C-14 Plural Component Certifications
