Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in critical care settings
• Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Participate in on-call duties and respond to emergencies
• Educate patients and families about care procedures and health management
• Document patient information accurately and comprehensively
• Adhere to protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety and compliance

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Valid medical license to practice in Texas
• Experience in critical care medicine is preferred
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to make quick decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team of healthcare professionals
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Strong problem-solving capabilities

Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts, specific dates

Setting: 2x 20-bed medical and surgical ICUs

Patient Census: 17-18 per unit per night

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Epic

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
