Full-Time On-site Chesapeake, VA 23320, USA Pay or shift range: $32 USD to $42 USD The estimated salary range is provided in accordance with Virginia Pay Transparency requirements. Final salary offers are calculated based on job-related factors, including education, experience, location, shift, skills, specialties, and/or other relevant qualifications or criteria.

Description

The Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for the maintenance and quality of patient care in the assigned departments and throughout the organization.

These duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned.

Produce high quality scans/images using proper positioning and technique.

Show proficiency in 2 or more Radiology sections.

Work closely with the Radiology Nurse, Radiologist and Neuro interventionist.

Utilize assigned functions within the Radiology Information System to complete paperwork and to document contrast media reactions.

Review patient's chart for information of physician's orders and follow written and/or verbal protocols and instructions.

Work closely with the Radiology Nurse, Radiologist and Neuro interventionist performing procedures.

Communicate equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to the appropriate Lead.

Utilize hospital computer systems to enter radiology and laboratory orders, charges, and credits.

Educate patients, and families as requested, regarding the exam, treatment, and outcome

Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department or equipment conditions to the appropriate personnel

Follow department, NRC, and State regulations for radiation safety to keep exposure "ALARA"

Follow ACR Guidelines to maintain ACR Accreditation.

Adhere to the Service Excellence Standards and Expectations at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center

Exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers

Exhibit courteous communication skills and an ability to work with others, exercising good judgment in performance of job duties

Reports to: Radiology Supervisor, though may also be assigned work from the Radiologist, Neuro Interventionist, Director of Radiology Services, Clinical Leads and Clinical Coordinator.

Minimum Required Education: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience: 5 years as a registered technologist

Applicants must be ARRT registered and BLS Certified upon hire
