Kelly Science is seeking a Microbiologist II for a growing company located in Farmingdale, NY.

Pay: $38/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:30pm
Employment Type: Full Time; Temp-to-Hire

Job duties include:

• Performs routine sample testing, including specialized sample collection, in accordance with established procedures, GMPs, regulatory standards, and safety requirements.
• Sets up and dismantles laboratory equipment; prepares solutions, suspensions, media, and cultures as needed.
• Records observations, performs calculations, assists with data preparation and evaluation, and communicates work status and results to supervisors.
• Maintains accurate laboratory records and supports investigations of atypical results.
• Practices effective laboratory housekeeping to prevent contamination, mix-ups, and safety hazards.
• Maintains laboratory standards and periodically performs higher-level duties for training and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or Biology required.
• 3-5 years of microbiology experience in an industry setting. Must have experience with PET, Environmental Testing and Preparatory testing.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical or dietary supplement industry is a plus
• Must be able to occasionally work Saturdays
