Central Sterile Processing Tech

Central Processing Technician
Responsible for decontaminating, assembly and sterilization process for all instruments, procedure trays and patient care equipment for the organization; operations of all processing equipment; inventorying and sterilizing linen items needed for the organization and sterile technique.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least two years experience in a Central Service Department, Surgery or equivalent preferred.
- Must have a general knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies and decontamination and sterilization techniques.
- Good organizational skills.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time; required to do some walking and lifting (17 to 25 pounds).
