Operations Manager (Heavy Industrial Manufacturing)

We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee plant floor manufacturing activities. This on-site leadership role owns the execution of our daily operational strategy, ensuring the production facility consistently hits its key performance benchmarks across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost (S/Q/D/C). As a critical leader on the floor, you will manage end-to-end production activities, mentor and hold front-line supervisors accountable, guide workforce planning efforts, and champion continuous improvement and Lean strategies across the entire facility.

What You’ll Own (Daily Operations)

As a "player-coach," you will drive the plant floor's daily strategy and execute operational excellence across multi-shift production:

• Floor Leadership: Foster a strict safety culture while directly coaching, developing, and holding front-line production supervisors accountable.
• Production & Resource Planning: Oversee daily production scheduling, master capacity planning, and labor allocation to ensure on-time delivery targets.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead hands-on Lean manufacturing initiatives, 5S implementation, and value stream optimization to eliminate operational waste.
• Cross-Functional & Budgetary Management: Partner closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality to oversee departmental budgets and lead local CapEx/capital projects.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 7–10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership, including managing production supervisors and floor teams.
• Industry Background: Solid exposure to high-heat, heavy industrial, or precision environments (e.g., metals manufacturing, machine shops, foundries, extrusion plants, or advanced plastics).
• Technical Toolkit: Deep practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement. Strong mastery of production planning/master scheduling and executing CapEx/departmental budgets.
