Position Overview

Megeredchian Law is seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to join our growing Litigation Department.

This position is ideal for someone with litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting attorneys and paralegals throughout the litigation process. The Litigation Assistant plays a key role in maintaining litigation calendars, coordinating court filings, and ensuring cases move efficiently from filing through resolution.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update litigation calendars for multiple attorneys
• Calculate and track court deadlines, discovery cutoffs, hearing dates, and other litigation deadlines
• Monitor deadlines and proactively assist in keeping cases on track
• Prepare complaints, Judicial Council forms, and other litigation-related documents
• Assist with electronic filing in California state courts
• Ensure compliance with court rules, filing procedures, and local requirements
• Schedule and coordinate hearings, mediations, depositions, and client meetings
• Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, experts, vendors, and opposing counsel
• Organize and maintain litigation files, pleadings, and supporting documentation
• Prepare case materials for hearings, motions, mediations, and trial preparation
• Maintain accurate case notes and updates within the case management system
• Assist attorneys and paralegals with litigation-related projects, deadlines, and case support
• Support day-to-day litigation operations and help ensure cases move efficiently through the litigation process

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Litigation Assistant, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary
• Prior experience in personal injury litigation or California civil litigation
• Hands-on litigation calendaring experience
• Experience with electronic filing in California state courts
• Working knowledge of California court procedures, deadlines, and local rules
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and law firm case management software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a California personal injury law firm
• Experience supporting personal injury litigation from filing through trial
• Familiarity with California discovery procedures and trial preparation
• Experience with CasePeer or other legal case management software
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a high-volume litigation environment

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience, litigation knowledge, calendaring proficiency, and overall ability to support the litigation team.

Hourly Rate: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (DOE)

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday
• On-site position in Burbank, CA
• Employees may choose a start time between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM, which determines the remainder of their workday
