Commercial HVAC Mechanical Project Manager

Job Responsibilities The Project Manager is responsible for managing the installation of commercial HVAC equipment within various vertical markets, positively representing the company in all client and architect/engineer interactions Work with end-users, sales staff, and prime contractors to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables The Project Manager helps oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation Develop a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets and conduct Work in Progress meetings Expected to develop working knowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS); Carrier i‑Vu knowledge is a plus Understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications Convey professionalism, fairness, and concern for customers, labor, and management Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors Accurately forecast revenue each month by reviewing each project to estimate the value of work completed correctly Execute all major functions required for project management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and close‑out Manage the Change Order process, ensuring that scope creep does not occur Assure that all projects are managed to or exceed their booked project margin Prioritize job safety on every project Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in project management or 2+ years in mechanical installation, building automation, electrical installation, or construction field Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and understand complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents Preferred Qualifications Experience and/or certification in BACnet or LEED certification PMP certification or working toward PMP certification Associate’s Degree in electrical engineering or project management Ability to multi‑task and prioritize assignments with strong adherence to deadlines Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both internally and externally #J-18808-Ljbffr
