Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. They are responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for an effective return to community activities. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, and perform other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of discipline-specific therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
• Document medical records in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner in compliance with state, federal, and clinic guidelines.
• Participate in the student program by providing a positive learning environment for students.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all state mandated continuing education requirements.
• Understand the organization's performance improvement methodology and follow through with action plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active license for the state where work will be performed.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 shift schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
