Joining our team promises not only a fulfilling experience but also an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our guests and contribute to the success of Barclays Center.**Genuine Passion for Service:*** Desires to exceed guest expectations and create unforgettable experiences.* Enjoys demonstrating enthusiasm and dedication in providing exceptional service.* Wants to make every interaction memorable and positive.**Strong Teamwork Abilities:*** Enjoys collaborating effectively with colleagues and partners.* Likes building and nurturing strong relationships within the team.* Values the importance of teamwork in achieving shared goals.**Adaptability:*** Enjoys handling unexpected challenges with flexibility and composure.* Wants to quickly adjust to changes in the environment to ensure guest satisfaction.* Thrives in dynamic and fast-paced work environments.**Effective Communication Skills:*** Desires to listen attentively and respond empathetically to guests and colleagues.* Enjoys conveying information clearly, confidently, and with warmth.* Wants to communicate with clarity and precision to ensure understanding.**Guest-Centric Approach:*** Values putting guests at the center of all actions and decisions.* Likes anticipating guest needs and consistently exceeding expectations.* Wants to create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all guests.**Proactive Problem-Solving:*** Desires to identify and resolve issues creatively and efficiently.* Enjoys handling guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities.* Likes taking initiative to address potential problems before they escalate.**Meticulous Attention to Detail:*** Wants to pay close attention to details that contribute to guest satisfaction.* Enjoys ensuring every aspect of service delivery is meticulously executed to maintain high standards.* Desires to take pride in delivering flawless experiences through meticulous attention to detail.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: What You Will Do*** Uphold the Security Department's Prime Directives, most importantly our mission to take reasonable steps to protect the safety and security of our venues' guests, employees, and assets with respect towards everyone's dignity and legal rights.* Resolve escalated security situations, providing appropriate warnings and complete ejections/arrests if warranted/necessary.* Ensure enforcement and compliance of the venue's Event Policies at all times.* Assist with directional and informational inquiries.* Serve as escalation point for complaints/issues.* Appropriately document all major/minor incidents and/or investigations.* Represent Barclays Center and the Security Department in an exemplary manner.* Apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems in order to successfully perform and direct varied & complex tasks.* Perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without the loss of efficiency or composure.**CANDIDATE PROFILE: Who You Are*** High School diploma or equivalent required.* Ability to communicate effectively in English.* Active NYS Security Guard License and 8-hour annual training required.* Active NY FDNY F-03 Fire Guard License required.* Minimum availability requirements are as follows; Fridays after 5PM, all day Saturday and Sunday and one day during the week* Ability to maintain good business relations with all the employees & managers in other departments.* Ability to effectively perform in crisis and to work under pressure without loss of composure.* Ability to exhibit maturity by making sound judgment.* Ability to memorize, re-collect, and quickly retrieve relevant information.* Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.* Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with building personnel, guests, visitors, clients, and vendors.* An understanding of all the rules of law, the relevant penal codes and company policies.* Must have strong teamwork etiquette.* Must be able to adapt to changes in assignment per event.* Must maintain a high standard of grooming.**KEY COMPETENCIES: Skills You Possess*** Tasks are performed with moderate supervision.* Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality.* Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds.* Must be able to walk/stand and climb stairs for more than 4 hours.* Ability to work in various climates based on the environment (including cold weather).* Talking, hearing, walking, running, & vision activities occur continuously.**Barclays Center/Legends Global reserves the right to change or modify the employee's job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship.
