Per Diem: $216/day for eligible contractors

About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Licensing Engineers (Level II and III) to support a major strategic initiative at a commercial nuclear power plant in Richland, Washington.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to nuclear license renewal activities, working alongside engineering, regulatory affairs, and plant operations teams to support the facility's long-term operation.

The successful candidate will provide technical and regulatory support for significant station initiatives, helping ensure compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requirements and applicable industry standards.

We are particularly interested in engineers with experience in commercial nuclear license renewal, Aging Management Programs (AMPs), and NRC regulatory processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and regulatory support for nuclear licensing and engineering projects.
• Support license renewal activities, including regulatory reviews, technical evaluations, and associated documentation.
• Identify, evaluate, and help resolve nuclear safety, licensing, and regulatory issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, plant personnel, external vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Support the development, implementation, review, or assessment of Aging Management Programs (AMPs).
• Provide technical input and recommendations on regulatory and environmental matters.
• Monitor relevant NRC regulations, industry standards, and licensing requirements.
• Participate in regulatory discussions, industry working groups, and technical reviews as required.
• Ensure assigned activities are completed in accordance with established plant processes and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Licensing Engineer II

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a technical environment, including at least 2 years in a DOE- or NRC-regulated nuclear environment.

Licensing Engineer III

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in a technical environment, including at least 2 years in a DOE- or NRC-regulated nuclear environment.
• Experience across at least one diverse engineering assignment.

Alternative qualification pathways are available for candidates holding a Professional Engineer (PE) license, subject to applicable experience requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Previous involvement in initial or subsequent license renewal projects at commercial nuclear power plants.
• Experience reviewing or preparing nuclear license renewal applications.
• Hands-on experience developing, implementing, auditing, or inspecting Aging Management Programs (AMPs).
• Familiarity with NRC licensing requirements and regulatory processes.
• Participation in nuclear industry committees or working groups related to license renewal.
• Strong technical writing, regulatory documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
