Assembler

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Production Worker to join our team. This role involves assembling containers using hand and power tools, working collaboratively with a team, and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble containers using hand tools such as hammers and screwdrivers.
• Lift and handle items weighing over 50 lbs regularly.
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure accurate assembly.
• Work effectively in a team of 5 to assemble containers.
• Follow directions and instructions precisely for proper assembly.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude by assembling and disassembling components.
• Use both hand and power tools proficiently.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude for assembling and disassembling components.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs continuously.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Teamwork skills with a positive attitude.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurement.

• Experience in assembly or construction is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure accurately.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large warehouse where you will be part of a team assembling containers. The space is surrounded by already assembled PODS containers. Expect varying temperatures with a cold environment in winter and a hot one in summer. Steel-toed boots are required for safety. Attendance is crucial, and maintaining it will secure your position.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harvey, IL.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
