Clinical Laboratory Team Lead - Immunology/Serology

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Team Leader for its immunology/serology department in Burlington, NC. The role involves supervising daily laboratory operations, training staff, performing technical procedures, and ensuring quality patient care in a high-volume environment. Sunday-Thursday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and generate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
Train new hires and mentor current employees on procedures and technical skills
Perform routine and complex technical testing procedures according to standard operating procedures
Monitor instrumentation, troubleshoot functionality, and perform preventive maintenance and quality control
Evaluate specimen acceptability, prepare and test reagents, and ensure timely accurate test results

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemical/biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience
ASCP and/or AMT certifications preferred
6 months or more of team supervision or leadership experience preferred
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Physical capability to perform job duties and work overtime as needed
