Database Engineer 2

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Database Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise Azure database solutions with a strong focus on Azure Data Lakes, Data Lakehouse architecture, and integrated data platforms .

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering, securing, and optimizing Azure-based relational and non-relational databases while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud data solutions. This role also includes mentoring junior database engineers and supporting best practices across the Azure ecosystem.

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing Azure-based data lakes and relational/non-relational databases.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake architecture.
• Experience with Databricks .
• Experience administering and supporting Oracle Databases .
• Strong experience building and implementing data transformation solutions.
• Experience integrating cloud infrastructure and Azure services.
• Experience coding, testing, and loading data using Azure data loading utilities.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory pipeline development.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines .
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and Azure services.
• Experience with:

  • SQL Analytics
  • Query Performance Insight
  • Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
  • Azure CLI / PowerShell
• Experience implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions using Azure Backup or Geo-Replication.
