Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

$1836.00/week - Job Summary: Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. Monitors patient conditions, administers medications, and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes. Responsibilities: Assess patient health status and document findings accurately in the EMR. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols. Monitor vital signs, cardiac telemetry, and respond to changes or emergencies promptly. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare staff to develop and update care plans. Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. Qualifications: Active RN license in the state of practice. Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit. Proficient in EPIC EMR documentation and workflows. Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required. Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to respond to clinical emergencies. Ability to float to different units within Prisma Health as needed.
