Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU, ensuring the safety and well-being of infants requiring intensive medical attention. Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill neonatal patients, including vital signs and clinical status.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols.
• Use electronic medical records such as Epic and OBix to document patient information accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain proficiency in life support certifications including BLS and NRP.
• Communicate effectively with parents and families to provide updates and support.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with pediatric or neonatal nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic and OBix.
• Ability to work 7p-7:30a shifts and every other weekend schedule.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Maintain excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
