Vascular Sonographer

GENERAL PURPOSE Pedes Orange County is a premier outpatient surgical facility committed to providing the highest quality surgical care. We are looking for a motivated Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive Must have the ability, skill-set, qualifications, education, and licensure that are required for all the responsibilities this position must cover. Must excel in communication (written & verbal), customer service and can work independently or as part of a team. Must excel in prioritization, organization and multi-tasking while demonstrating attention to detail and follow-through. Prepare patients for radiological procedures such as endovenous ablations following established process for patient care and safety. Perform ultrasound examination(s) and demonstrate technical knowledge of cross-sectional human anatomy, physiology, pathology. physical principals and instrumentation. Schedule: Per Diem MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required) RVT / RVS License (Required) BLS Certification of Diagnostic Medical Sonography school Echo certified Preferences Two (2) year minimum experience in Vascular Ultrasound required. Previous experience or training in a Cardiovascular Lab and OR department with RDCS Licensing. ESSENTIAL BEHAVIORS, SKILLS, AND ATITUDES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION Experience scanning a wide range of exams such as (Aorta, Carotid, Upper extremity vein mapping, AV fistulas and grafts, Endo AVF, Lower extremity arterial and venous exams, abdominal, renal artery and testicular). Experience with image and report documentation using PACS system. Demonstrated interpersonal, collaborative, and relationship-building skills; ability to interact positively with teammates at all levels. Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention to detail, follow-through, analytical, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities according to clinical standards; high degree of initiative. Demonstrated ability to present and document work according to standards required. Demonstrated ability to maintain absolute confidentiality concerning patient information. Ability to remain calm and act appropriately in emergency or life-threatening situations. LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to perform successfully the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position. Ability to read, speak, and write English with clarity of expression sufficient to communicate technical and complex concepts of teammates, patients, and patient family members in clear and easily understandable terms required. Ability to understand clinical/medical vocabulary written or spoken in English required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 100 pounds un assisted; able to stand for extended periods of time and to perform repetitive walking, stretching, reaching, with some sitting; full range of body motions required to lift patients and lift supplies Manual dexterity and ability to work rapidly required. #J-18808-Ljbffr Pedes Orange County
