Acting Team Leader

Location: Merchants House, Shipley, Bradford. Hours: Full-Time, 38.5 Hours Per Week. Pay: £13.91 per hour with enhanced overtime rates. About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and compassionate Acting Team Leader to support adults with learning disabilities or mental health needs in a close-knit, values‑driven team. Your Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day operations alongside the Service Manager Promote daily independence of the people we support Supervise and mentor Support Workers Safely administer prescribed medication Allocate duties effectively across the team Champion person‑centred care and positive relationships with clients and their families Maintain accurate, respectful records Promote safeguarding, confidentiality, and best practices at all times What We're Looking For Previous experience supporting adults with mental health conditions or learning disabilities in an inpatient or challenging setting Knowledge of drug and alcohol addiction is advantageous Leadership experience or a strong desire to step into a leadership role Empathy, resilience, and dedication to making a difference Team player with excellent communication skills Ideally Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it) Right to work in the UK What You'll Get In Return £13.91 per hour 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Flexible working week and shift patterns, including weekends Career development opportunities and NVQ training Comprehensive induction and buddy programme Health care cover (dental, optical, prescriptions, physiotherapy) Enhanced DBS check paid for Employee awards and recognition schemes Access to Employee Assistance Programme Refer‑a‑friend bonus scheme Wellbeing support and a workplace culture that cares Ready to Lead with Heart?
