Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and current Physical Therapist license in the state of Michigan
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school-based settings
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to develop individualized therapy plans and adapt interventions to meet student-specific needs
• Familiarity with special education processes and documentation
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ motor functions and needs through standardized and functional assessments
• Create, implement, and monitor individualized therapy programs designed for school participation
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to integrate therapy strategies throughout the school day
• Maintain detailed progress notes and required documentation as per district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and reporting progress towards physical and educational goals
• Promote a culture of safety and encouragement for students of all ability levels
