Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Position: Locum Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Location: Dorchester, Massachusetts
Assignment Length: Minimum 3-month commitment (extension potential)
Start Date: As soon as credentialed

Schedule

• Flexible 8-hour shifts, Monday Friday
• Clinic hours: 8:30 AM 8:00 PM
• Available shift combinations:
  • 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (Morning + Afternoon)
  • 1:00 PM 8:00 PM (Afternoon + Evening)
• Optional 12-hour shifts may be available for providers seeking additional hours
• Saturday clinic: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
  • Approximately one Saturday per month (flexible rotation)

Administrative Time

Providers receive one hour of dedicated administrative time for every four hours of patient care , allowing ample time for charting and documentation.

Practice Setting

• Outpatient Primary Care
• Family Medicine/Internal Medicine
• No hospital rounding
• No call responsibilities

Patient Volume

• Scheduled for approximately 20 patients per day
• Typical daily volume is patients after no-shows

Procedures

• Standard outpatient primary care
• Vaginal exams may be performed but are not required

EMR

• Athenahealth (Athena)

Credentialing

• Expedited credentialing available
• Emergency privileges may be granted
• Typical credentialing timeline is approximately 2 weeks

Compensation

• Competitive hourly locum rate
• Travel assistance available
• Lodging is provided for providers traveling from outside the area

Requirements

• Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care experience preferred
• Active Massachusetts license or ability to obtain
• Ability to commit to a minimum 3-month assignment
