Senior Formulation Technician - 2nd Shift

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Senior Formulation Technician for second-shift manufacturing at its Grand Island, New York facility. The role involves operating formulation equipment, weighing and measuring raw materials, troubleshooting machinery, and ensuring compliance with GMP standards in cell culture media production.

Responsibilities

• Operate mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, and laboratory equipment
• Weigh, measure, and verify raw materials using computer interface for batch accuracy
• Calibrate and troubleshoot manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment
• Maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems and regulatory documentation requirements
• Participate in safety, quality, and productivity discussions and support project initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment
• 2+ years experience in Good Manufacturing Practice setting
• General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Formal training in Lean, 5S, or manufacturing processes strongly preferred

Compensation: $20.93–$31.39 hourly
