Applicants who possess experience with vascular and obstetrics are highly encouraged to apply!Take the next step and unlock your potential with a career at UPMC!*Eligible positions qualify for a $6,000 Sign-on Bonus with a 2-year work commitment!**Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary, based on their individual experience and education.Responsibilities:Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.Assists physicians with invasive procedures, adhering to universal protocol standards.Interacts with patients and co-workers, displaying caring, listening, dignity, and respect.Communicates instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears.Ensures exams are properly coded, tracked, networked, and charges entered.Identifies patients using two identifiers and reviews patient history and physician orders.Documents patient history in electronic records as required.May handle High-Level Disinfection of devices, supplies, and equipment.Obtains and documents cross-sectional anatomy images, correlating measurements with data charts.Performs technical ultrasound procedures, using appropriate instrumentation and techniques.Qualifications:Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary ResuscitationUPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
