Inforce, Claims Processor

Job Overview The In-Force, Claims Processor position is responsible for reviewing and processing death claim transactions on annuity contracts. Primary focus is annuity claims, but will also assist with other types of transactions related to In-Force annuity responsibilities. Responsibilities Set up the initial claim notification. Learn, retain, and update knowledge of a wide variety of financial product information and internal processes, while adhering to strict financial industry rules and regulations. Assist with processing other types of annuity In‑Force transactions as needed. Provide information regarding contract values, request status updates, withdrawals, fund performance, outstanding requirements, and any other transaction related to annuity In‑Force. Support both agents/advisors and clients with all annuity In‑Force requests via phone and email. Communicate requirements, settlement options and claim status with beneficiaries, agents, attorneys, and clients. Process and approve claim payments, generate settlement confirmation letters and track all claim settlements. Assist in special projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 3+ years of operational/claims or processing experience or a combination is preferred. Proven ability to communicate effectively. Strong problem‑solving skills and experience working in a fast‑paced environment. Strong leadership and communication skills. Strong working knowledge of the annuity market, with specific focus on fixed, fixed‑indexed and variable annuities.
