Travel RN - Med/Surg Float Pool

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN requiring CA licensure, EPIC experience, and at least 2 years of telemetry experience with heavy orthopedic exposure. Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required Minimum 3 years of overall RN experience required CA hospital experience required EPIC experience required Total joint orthopedic experience required Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Skilled in on-unit and remote telemetry monitoring Experience with use of Rapid Response Teams Skilled in central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care/management Experience with blood product administration and starting IVs Experience managing Heparin protocols and cardiac/vasoactive drips without titration Skilled in chest tube management (Emerson/Pleuravac) Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization, angiogram, MI, and cardiac surgery care References required for consideration Responsibilities MS/Tele Float position with potential to float to Med-Surg units Average census of 36 with 36 rooms/beds and a 1:4 patient ratio Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics General medical surgical patients with moderate volume of orthopedic surgical cases Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Every other weekend coverage required No on-call requirements Royal blue scrubs required Care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring alongside general medical-surgical and orthopedic surgical needs Floating to Med-Surg units may be required based on facility needs First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Return staff will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis Local candidates accepted at the travel rate All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application for the full 13-week contract No time off approved during the first two weeks of the assignment Once submitted, time off requests cannot be changed except to cancel Facility is a smoke and nicotine-free environment; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor Advanced EKG exam required prior to start, with two attempts allowed and an 80% minimum passing score Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-774546 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler, LLC.
