Insurance Defence Attorney (3+ Years Experience) — Pittsburgh

A respected national litigation firm with a strong presence in Pittsburgh is seeking an Insurance Defence Attorney with a minimum of three years’ experience to join its expanding team. This role offers hands‑on litigation work, direct client interaction, and exposure to a wide range of defence matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defence files involving premises liability, property claims, professional liability, and general liability
• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and coverage analyses
• Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances
• Provide strategic advice and reporting to insurer clients
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex, high‑exposure matters

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years of insurance defence litigation experience
• Must be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and in good standing
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while contributing to a collaborative team
• Comfortable communicating with insurer clients and meeting reporting expectations

Work Arrangement

Hybrid schedule:

• 4 days per week in the Pittsburgh office
• 1 day working from home

Compensation

• Salary range: $100,000 – $140,000 annually , commensurate with experience
