Position: Tax Accountant

Location: Loveland / Fort Collins, Colorado
Job Type: Full-Time(On-site)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant with an active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential to handle individual and business tax preparation , accounting, and client engagements. The ideal candidate will have strong tax compliance knowledge, bookkeeping skills, and experience working in a public accounting or CPA firm environment .

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, and 1120).
• Handle federal and state tax compliance and reporting.
• Perform bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliations, and payroll-related tasks.
• Manage multiple client accounts, deadlines, and tax engagements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure confidentiality.
• Use QuickBooks and other tax preparation and accounting software.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax and accounting matters.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting .
• Tax preparation experience.
• Active CPA license or EA credential.
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Knowledge of GAAP, tax-basis accounting, and cash/accrual accounting methods .
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-state tax filings and Form 1041.
• Public accounting or CPA firm experience.
• Familiarity with tax research tools and electronic filing systems.
• Small-business bookkeeping and payroll experience.
