TITLE: Security RFT/Stand-By

SUPERVISION: Under the direct supervision of the Security Supervisor

LOCATION: Carl T Curtis Health Education Center

SUMMARY: To provide protection of the entire Carl T. Curtis Health Education Center building, patients, and employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Tour the buildings and grounds to protect property, patients, and employees from the danger of accidents, fire, theft or intrusion.
• Incumbent periodically tours of building and grounds, examines doors, locks, and windows to determine that they are secure and not tampered with.
• Enforces Health Center Security rules and regulations by patrolling grounds to detect and prevent vandalism and illegal entry.
• Check unauthorized personnel for questioning, routes, or detains them or telephones the police for assistance, according to the circumstances.
• Reports fires, accidents, hazards, and any unusual conditions or malfunctions of heating, plumbing, or electrical systems.
• Checks cars to determine if vehicles are parked in restricted areas, such as near fire hydrants or in driveways and ambulance entrance.
• Escorts personnel to and from parking lots between buildings as requested.
• Submits daily log of activities and prepare written report of all unusual situations and conditions encountered during our tour of duty.
• Observes patients and visitors closely, assist all Health Center personnel in restraining disturbed and belligerent patients, and/or visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• Possess a valid Driver's License, must be insurable by Tribal insurance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Must be willing to work flexible hours to cover shifts.
• Must be reliable, dependable, with good work practices, and able to follow instructions.

Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.
