Job Description

As a Security Officer Area Patrol in Daytona Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a fast-moving logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will bring a caring, reliable approach, work as part of a team, and act with integrity while adapting to the needs of the site.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and observe the movement of people, vehicles, and/or deliveries in support of site rules and daily operations.
• Report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, and assist with traffic flow, entry procedures, and other security-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
