Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hagerstown, MDThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing holistic, patient-centered nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated individuals. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and in collaboration with medical and behavioral health staff, the LPN supports a wide range of physical and mental health needs in a correctional healthcare setting. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a secure environment, maintain professional boundaries, and deliver compassionate care while ensuring compliance with all clinical and facility protocols.Shifts Available: Day, evenings, and nightsKey ResponsibilitiesProvide direct nursing care including medication administration, treatments, and routine assessmentsMonitor patient health status and report changes to RN or medical staffAssist in developing and implementing patient care plansRespond to medical emergencies and urgent care needsSupport behavioral health interventions in collaboration with clinical staffMaintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with policiesEnsure adherence to infection control, safety, and correctional facility proceduresCommunicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of careQualificationsActive and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of MarylandCurrent CPR certificationCurrent tuberculosis (TB) screening/documentationAbility to pass a background investigation and obtain required security clearanceExperienceMinimum one (1) year of LPN experience preferredExperience in correctional healthcare, hospital, outpatient clinic, or long-term care setting preferredExperience working with behavioral health populations is a plusWork EnvironmentSecure correctional facility settingFast-paced clinical environment requiring adaptability and sound judgmentInteraction with diverse patient populations with complex medical and behavioral health needsEqual Opportunity Employer Talantage, LLC is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
