Compensation

$90,000 to $100,000 is only the base salary , plus benefits, and depends on experience. Additionally, opportunities for performance incentives, commissions, and bonuses.

If You Are...

• Admitted to the California State Bar and residing in California, ideally San Diego County
• Excited about Civil Litigation and interested in getting into court, take depositions, and negotiate against sophisticated defense counsel early in your career
• A strong, precise legal writer with excellent verbal communication skills
• Empathetic and client focused , and you understand that behind every file is a person who has been through a frustrating experience with their vehicle
• Coachable and growth-oriented , and you want direct feedback and mentorship
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid/remote environment, as well as a high-volume environment with large caseloads

Responsibilities

• As an associate attorney at our firm, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support to our clients throughout the entire litigation process. You will be responsible for assisting in various legal activities, including but not limited to discovery, drafting complaints, attending hearings, communicating with clients, negotiating settlements and all other aspects of litigation.
• Draft complaints, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Propound and respond to written discovery, including drafting and reviewing interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and effectively.
• Negotiate settlements and evaluate case value.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date case files, documents, and correspondence.
• Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and court decisions affecting lemon law cases in California.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• California State Bar admission required.
• Prior civil litigation experience, judicial clerkship, or mock trial/moot court experience is a plus but not required
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with LexisNexis or Westlaw and online document management systems.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a remote employee.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
• Knowledge of lemon law, consumer protection law, and/or automobiles is a plus
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Willingness to continue learning and stay updated with changes in Lemon Law.
• Sales and customer service experience is a plus.

Pay Range

$90,000 - $100,000, depending on experience. PLUS Commission/Bonus Opportunities and Benefits.
