Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep dishwasher and equipment clean and organized.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Load, run and unload dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
• Bag and haul trash to dumpster at designed times.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
• General cleaning duties.
• Attends all scheduled employee meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Chef.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work holidays, weekends and evenings.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in stressful situations.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time or an entire shift, repetitive motions of hands, wrists and fingers, climb stairs, balance, stoop, squat, bend, twist, kneel, reach, grasp, shake, stir, pour, and squeeze with both hands. Talk or hear; taste or smell.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time, frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity and extreme cold. There is also frequent contact/immersion of hands in water and sanitation solutions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Work conditions include exposure to mineral water sulfur odor.
