Optical Sorter

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Optical Sorter Operator to join a growing team in La Porte, TX. This position is responsible for operating automated sorting equipment that uses cameras, lasers, and sensors to identify, inspect, and separate products based on characteristics such as color, size, shape, material type, and quality.

Pay Rate

$17.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours

Rotational shift: 6:00 am-2:30 pm,2:00 pm-10:30 pm,10:00 pm-6:30 am

Optical Sorter Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor optical sorting equipment to ensure efficient production. 
• Inspect products and materials for quality and accuracy. 
• Adjust machine settings to maintain production standards. 
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report mechanical concerns. 
• Clear jams and perform routine cleaning of equipment. 
• Maintain accurate production and quality records. 
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Optical Sorter Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, machine operator, or packaging experience preferred. 
• Strong attention to detail and quality. 
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 55 lbs. (assessment administered in office)
• Dependable attendance and punctuality. 
• Ability to work a rotating schedule in a fast-paced environment, which may include holidays and or weekends.
