Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician II performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pharmacy Technician II with us:
- Non-sterile compounding, stocking automated dispensing cabinets
- Preparing unit dose drug
- Delivering medications to patient care areas
- Checking medication storage areas for outdates
- Completing billing duties
- Working in IV room, controlled substance distribution and monitoring, automation, informatics, medication reconciliation
Qualifications you will need for this role:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Pharmacy Technician certificate, or Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
- If initially hired with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued a Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate, must achieve a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) within 12 months of hire date.
- High school diploma
