Principal Platform Engineer

To accelerate platform delivery, the full-time remote Principal Platform Engineer will combine software engineering and operations expertise, leading high-priority initiatives, establishing engineering best practices, and creating reusable platform capabilities. Key responsibilities Lead high-priority initiatives to clarify approaches and deliver quality results while reducing cross-team friction Establish engineering best practices, including design documentation, architecture reviews, and automated testing Create reusable platform capabilities and implement automation to enhance operational efficiency and delivery speed Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 12+ years of experience building and operating cloud-native platforms and software delivery systems at scale 8+ years of experience designing and operating microservices-based systems, including API design and Infrastructure-as-Code Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technical initiatives with measurable business outcomes 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, public cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and production operations
