Due to continued growth across the data center sector, they are actively seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning projects throughout the United States.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to gain exposure to complex mission-critical facilities while working alongside experienced commissioning professionals on high-profile projects. Your New RoleCommissioning mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and associated controls.Reviewing design documents and providing technical feedback to project teams.Assisting with the development of commissioning plans, procedures, and test scripts.Executing factory witness testing (FAT), integrated systems testing (IST), and functional performance testing.Documenting commissioning activities, deficiencies, observations, and test results.Evaluating system performance and providing technical recommendations.Coordinating with owners, contractors, vendors, design engineers, and project stakeholders.Assisting with project schedules, commissioning reports, and project documentation.Supporting client meetings and responding to technical inquiries.Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with project and site safety requirements. What You'll Need to SucceedBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.2+ years of experience within commissioning, mission-critical facilities, controls, building systems, MEP consulting, facilities engineering, or a related field.Experience working with data centers, critical facilities, healthcare, large commercial buildings, or other complex mechanical systems.Knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, cooling infrastructure, BAS/BMS controls, and related mechanical equipment.Ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, and control sequences.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams.Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the United States as needed. Preferred QualificationsData center commissioning experience.Familiarity with ASHRAE commissioning guidelines or BCxA best practices.Experience with BMS, EPMS, or controls systems.PE License, BCxA, CxA, CxM, or related commissioning certifications preferred but not required.
