Full Time Nights Registered Nurse, RN - IMC / PCU (step-down)

Responsibilities Unit Overview: The Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides specialized care for patients who require a higher level of monitoring and intervention than a medical-surgical floor but do not meet criteria for intensive care. Patients in this unit often present with complex cardiac, respiratory, and post‑surgical conditions requiring: Continuous telemetry monitoring Frequent nursing assessments and interventions Advanced medication management and titration Rapid response readiness This unit serves as a critical step‑down environment designed to stabilize patients and support recovery while maintaining close observation. Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) in the IMC/PCU is responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care to acutely ill patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage complex patient conditions, and collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols in a dynamic healthcare setting.
