Job Purpose The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for the hands‑on training of all new personnel and other warehouse employees. The Warehouse Trainer will provide training on best practices and deliver on‑the‑job instruction. The role may also involve scouting assignments across the network. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide on‑the‑job training to equipment operators and other warehouse employees. Conduct training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing hands‑on training to warehouse pickers. Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines. Be well versed in all warehouse functions. Plan and schedule tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Maintain all training records for regulatory and internal purposes. Perform work safely, report unsafe conditions or accidents. Use various teaching methods and provide constructive feedback. Conduct all monthly safety refresher training. Conduct all post‑accident safety refresher training. Work off shifts as needed for training demands. Operate forklift as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Train new trainers per company policy and SOPs. Communicate day‑to‑day with trainers, assist as needs arise. Implement all SOPs during training. Ensure trainers follow guidelines and cross‑train associates. Ensure each trainer maintains SOP spreadsheets for weekly recap and audit prep. Ensure every trainer updates data entry weekly. Ensure all safety guidelines are implemented while training, including driving equipment. Travel to all buildings as needed. Primarily work mid‑shift to cover both shifts or as needed. Fill in when other trainers are off or on vacation. Ensure compliance with quarterly audits. Open tickets with MIS for issues and resolve them. Other Requirements Basic knowledge of training techniques or job training. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Education and/or Experience Required High school diploma or general education diploma (GED). At least 6 months of experience. Language Skills Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English. Ability to read, analyze, and write; follow orders and respond to questions from management. Physical Demands Occasionally reach, lift, or move up to 50 pounds. Regularly work in an indoor/office environment, sit, or use repetitive hand motion. Frequently required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. Work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required. Read and discern visual images with 20/20 corrected vision. Speak and communicate clearly over telephone. Be in sound physical health as determined by a licensed physician with no evidence of controlled substances. Work Environment Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; noise ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
