Outside Sales Representative Location: Savannah, GA
Territory: Savannah, GA | Brunswick, GA | Bluffton, SC | Potentially Vidalia, GA
Position: Outside Sales Representative
$60,000–$70,000 per year , depending on experience, plus variable compensation paid quarterly
Schedule & Travel- Monday–Friday
- Generally within regular business hours
- Flexibility required based on customer and job-site needs
- Local/day travel throughout the assigned territory
- No overnight travel required
A-JAX Company is looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative to take ownership of sales activity and customer relationships throughout an assigned territory. This is a relationship-driven, consultative sales role for someone who enjoys understanding customer needs, solving problems, and identifying opportunities for business growth.
As the primary external representative for A-JAX Company, you will build and maintain profitable customer relationships while developing new business and supporting strategic growth initiatives. You’ll work closely with sales, sales support, and management teams to help drive revenue and deliver an excellent customer experience.
What You’ll Do- Build and maintain strong, profitable relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Manage the full sales process from lead generation through close
- Take a consultative approach to sales by identifying customer needs and recommending value-added solutions
- Develop new accounts while continuing to grow existing business
- Understand customer projects and anticipate needs to provide proactive solutions
- Develop and implement strategic business growth plans within the assigned territory
- Prepare and respond to customer requirements, including RFI and RFP requests
- Develop and maintain strong product and technical knowledge
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, capabilities, and value-added services
- Develop annual sales forecasts and strategic growth plans in partnership with the Vice President of Sales
- Create weekly call schedules that balance existing customer coverage with new account development
- Maintain accurate customer activity and requirements within the CRM system
- Collaborate with sales, sales support, and management to achieve revenue and growth goals
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- At least 2 years of wholesale or industrial sales experience preferred
- Business development experience is a plus
- Experience managing customer relationships and developing new business
- Strong consultative and problem-solving sales skills
- Ability to understand the overall scope of a customer project and anticipate customer needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Strategic, organized, and self-motivated approach to sales
- Comfortable managing a territory and planning customer visits independently
- Ability to work effectively with internal sales and support teams
You’ll be successful in this role if you are more than a traditional salesperson. We’re looking for someone who can listen, understand the bigger picture, identify opportunities, and provide solutions that create value for customers.
