Senior Director, Global Procurement – Commercial Category Strategy What You’ll Do Own and evolve global Commercial category strategies aligned to business priorities and growth objectives Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders using data-driven insights and market intelligence Create a unified Procurement engagement model for consistent stakeholder experience across regions and functions Identify and deliver value beyond cost savings (innovation, risk mitigation, supplier performance) Translate business needs into scalable category strategies and sourcing plans Drive adoption of preferred supplier programs; measure impact using defined KPIs and dashboards Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key global suppliers and external stakeholders Lead complex negotiations and oversee high-value contracts within critical categories Benchmark supplier capabilities; apply best practices Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement leaders; foster accountability, inclusion, and continuous growth Establish priorities, operating rhythms, and executive communication cadences Champion new ways of working to increase agility, scale, and effectiveness across Procurement Establish performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting; provide executive updates on risks, timelines, dependencies Partner with Risk, Inclusion, and Sustainability teams to embed responsible sourcing into category strategies Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications MBA or equivalent Deep experience in Commercial procurement, marketing categories, or agency management Strong analytics (Excel, Tableau, SAP, Ariba) Ability to translate market intelligence and spend analytics into actionable strategies Enterprise transformation/procurement operating model evolution experience Executive-level communication/presentation skills Supplier partnership success focused on innovation, quality, long-term value Experience integrating sustainability, supplier diversity, and risk management into procurement strategies Benefits Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans (plus paid time off and other discretionary compensation elements mentioned) #J-18808-Ljbffr Scorpion Therapeutics
