Quality Inspector 2The Quality Inspector 2 position directly supports the Production Departments through incoming inspection of purchased components and final inspection of finished assemblies and components.Responsibilities:Conducts inspections of products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality standardsParticipates in gathering statistical data from product and processesPerforms visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassembliesVisual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards, and harness assembliesPrepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested itemsIdentifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issuesMaintains Inspection recordsCreates & reviews First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) IAW AS9102Performs Customer source inspectionIssues Authorized Release Certificates/TagsMaintains Calibration recall and recordsPrepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulationMaintain an acceptable attendance record. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessaryAble and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings as requiredOther responsibilities as assignedPhysical Requirements:Approximately 75% sitting and 25% standing/walking about indoorsLift and Carry up to 35 lbs.Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side.Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf.Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling.Minimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfacesTyping with computer and keyboardQualifications:Education & Experience:Education: High School Diploma or EquivalentCertifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field beneficialYears of Experience: 2+ years of experience (aerospace and electronics environments preferred)Skills:Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervisionAble to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issuesSkilled at using measuring equipment as prescribed by job assignmentMust have knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, standard inspection procedures, wiring diagrams and be able to add tolerances using decimals, etc.Technical knowledge of Aerospace standards for First Article Inspection Reports, AS9102Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketchesRead, write and understand English.Read technical drawings with multiple views.Proficient computer skillsAttention to detailCritical thinking and problem solvingOrganizational skillsWe offer a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package.Come join the Parker Aerospace Team!
