Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of charge experience preferred. License: State or Compact license required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Must-Have: - Experience in a general medical/surgical unit - Comfort working with stroke/TIA, UTI, sepsis, pneumonia, isolation patients, and patients with weakness/unsteady gait - Ability to work with patients from various community settings Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a medical surgical unit. The role involves working night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts per week. The unit accepts first-time travelers and requires weekend availability every other weekend. The nurse will provide care for patients experiencing a range of medical conditions, including stroke/TIA, UTI, sepsis, and pneumonia. Familiarity with isolation precautions and personal protective equipment is necessary. The position requires knowledge and skills in rapid response/code team procedures, peripheral line care/management, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration. The nurse will care for a diverse population, including patients from assisted living and nursing care facilities. Proper scrubs must be worn, specifically navy top and bottom. Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this position. The orientation will include essential training and modules required for onboarding.
